My name is Kelsey MacPhee and I am the French teacher for grades 2-5 at the British Columbia Canadian International School in Cairo. I am originally from Edmonton, Alberta and completed my Bachelor of Elementary Education from the University of Alberta. I have family in both Grande Prairie and Edmonton and therefore consider the province of Alberta to be home. This past year I have been working in the francophone community of Chicoutimi, Quebec. This opportunity to teach English as a Second Language to grades 2-6 has allowed me to become more flexible and work in a wide range of primary ESL classrooms. In my spare time I enjoy biking, soccer, hiking and swimming. My goal for next year is to aid students in their journey of learning the French language by encouraging them to apply, synthesize and create in my classroom and throughout their academic careers.
