HS HUMANITIES

Having taught English classes at all grades in a French school Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada for 13 years, I bring my teaching skills, my curiosity, my laughter, and my adventurous spirit to Egypt – one desert zone to another. In my teaching, I blend classical novels with current events, personal writing with creativity, and literary responses with cultural understandings. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree with a French major, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education in Modern Languages from the University of Lethbridge. Outside of school, and sometimes at, I am a maker: fiber arts (weaving, crocheting), extensive renovations, overflowing gardening, and my favourite hobby of pottery. I look forward to living and learning in a new-to-me culture, and I encourage parents and students to teach me their favourite phrases in Arabic.
