HS English

“I am coming to BCCIS East from Calgary, Alberta, where I have been, teaching high school Social Studies. I hold a Bachelor’s of Education from the University of Alberta, and a Master’s Degree in English, from the University of Calgary. I am also the author of three books of poetry: Massacre Street, which won the 2014 Stephan G. Stephansson Award for Poetry, Leap-seconds, which won the 2016 Robert Kroetsch Award for Innovative Poetry, and Exhibit, which won the Robert Kroetsch Award for Poetry. My next book “I Wish I Could be Peter Falk” is forthcoming from the University of Calgary Press. When not reading and writing, I enjoy traveling, hiking, attending films, visiting galleries, and exploring new foods. I am excited to be joining BCCIS as a teacher of English and Social Studies, and to bring my passion for literature and history into the classroom.”
